Flip the Switch gathers film festival momentum

The 2019 film festival circuit continues to help women #fliptheswitch in 2019. Our hope is that every screening raises awareness of the vital role women in every region of the world will play as leaders for significant global challenges like climate change and ultra poverty.

First, the TvE Global Sustainability Award chose Flip the Switch as a finalist.

We’ve since learned that the Los Angeles Short Film Festival added the film to its lineup for the festival on March 9.

And now we’re a semi-finalist for the American Documentary Film Festival and Film Fund in Palm Springs, Ca. March 29-April 4.

This three-year effort by our producer Hogan Lovells empowering women and girls continues to grow with events planned in New York, San Francisco, South Africa, Mexico City and more. Since we finished filming the inspiring work of Barefoot College expanded into its 97th country–the United States– with a new ambitious project in Puerto Rico focused on bringing sustainable energy for the people of the island still recovering from hurricane damage. This effort will greatly decrease the use of fossil fuels and allow for energy to recover in hours not months when another storm hits.

Track these festival schedules here or on our facebook page to find one near you to watch the film. Please support gender equality and climate solutions by sharing this exciting news with your friends, family and networks.
